
Mr. Hockel is responsible for leading overall hospital operations to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives and high-priority objectives. This includes responsibility for leading the organization’s $3 billion campus expansion plan to transform the future of health care in the region, employing a purposeful process to incorporate evidence-based design and the full engagement of internal and external stakeholders to deliver a world-class health care experience. Mr. Hockel provides executive oversight of organization’s joint ventures and partnerships to ensure effective coordination, communication, shared learning, and maximum value creation.
Mr. Hockel brings more than 30 years of leadership experience to Cooper University Health Care. As a servant leader, he has led teams that have produced exceptional quality and safety, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement results.
Mr. Hockel is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), a member of the ACHE of Greater Philadelphia, and completed his Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training at Villanova University. He attended Penn State University and completed his degree in business management at the University of Phoenix. Mr. Hockel holds a Master of Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University.
