Cooper University Health Care is the leading academic health system in South Jersey and provides access to primary, specialty, tertiary, and urgent care, all within one complete health system. Cooper has nearly 10,000 team members, including 1,600 nurses, more than 900 physicians, and 500+ advanced practice providers practicing in more than 75 specialties. Cooper includes South Jersey’s only Level I trauma center (Cooper University Hospital), which is the busiest trauma center in the Philadelphia region. Cooper is also home to a leading cancer center (MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper), the only Level II pediatric trauma center in the Delaware Valley (Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper),  three urgent care centers, and more than 100 outpatient offices from Southeastern Pennsylvania to the Jersey Shore, including large regional hubs in Camden, Cherry Hill, Voorhees, Willingboro, and Sewell.

Cooper University Health Care - Premier Institutes

MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper In partnership with the nation’s leading cancer center, MD Anderson at Cooper offers advanced multidisciplinary cancer treatment, innovative technologies, cutting-edge clinical trials, and comprehensive supportive care services.

Surgical Services Institute - Offering advanced surgical options in 12 specialty areas, including ear, nose, and throat; pain management; colorectal; general; plastic and reconstructive; oral and maxillofacial; thoracic; urologic; and vascular. It is also home to the Cooper Aortic Center, the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Center, the Level I Adult Trauma Center, and the Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.

Adult Health Institute is an extensive network of primary and specialty care services, including dermatology and dermatologic surgery, endocrinology, family medicine, geriatric medicine, infectious disease, internal medicine, nephrology, palliative care, and pulmonary medicine. The Cooper Digestive Health Institute in Mt. Laurel, NJ, the largest freestanding endoscopic center in South Jersey, provides a full range of gastrointestinal services, with satellite offices throughout the region.

Cooper and Inspira Cardiac Care is one of the most comprehensive cardiovascular programs in the region. In a joint venture, cardiac experts from the Cooper Heart Institute and Inspira Health provide a full range of heart care and rehabilitation, from prevention and diagnosis to the most innovative nonsurgical techniques and surgical treatments, including stenting procedures, heart surgery, and minimally invasive procedures.

Cooper Bone and Joint Institute offers high-quality orthopedic care with the latest technological advances. The integrated team includes fellowship-trained and board certified experts in orthopedics, rheumatology, podiatry, and rehabilitation for arthritis pain, sprains, and strains, tendon or ligament injury, tendonitis, broken bones, dislocations, trauma, and more.

Cooper Neurological Institute (CNI) is revolutionizing neurological care with world-renowned physicians fully dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of neurological and neurosurgical issues, including epilepsy, movement disorders, headache, and trauma as well as brain, spine, and pituitary cancer. The CNI is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center by The Joint Commission.

Women’s and Children’s Institute is home to the Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper, South Jersey’s only state-designated hospital for children and only Level II pediatric trauma center in the Delaware Valley, and the Ripa Center for Women’s Health and Wellness at Cooper, which provides primary and multispecialty care, radiology services, and wellness education.

Urban Health Institute is redesigning health care to meet the needs of an underserved population by providing access to quality preventive care and the tools to manage complex medical conditions. This includes the Cooper Advanced Care Center, with primary care and medical and surgical specialties, and the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers, whose key role is knowledge dissemination and communication among organizations in Camden.

Center for Critical Care Services provides the highest level of lifesaving inpatient care for the seriously ill and injured. The Center is staffed by physician experts in sepsis, cardiogenic shock, and respiratory failure, and is a major referral source for area hospitals.

Center for Urgent and Emergent Services provides 24/7 access to immediate care, whether through the emergency department, 911 emergency medical services, toxicology, disaster medicine, air medical services, or the transfer center. Cooper urgent care centers take emergency department staffing to the community and offer extended day, evening, and weekend hours for patients of all ages.

Center for Population Health engages patients, care givers, and the community through education, navigation, and direct patient care to support health care needs. Cooper maximizes clinical innovation, outreach, research, and education to deliver excellent community and value-based patient-centered programs.

Center for Trauma Services is a Level I adult trauma center and Level II pediatric trauma center that cares for severely injured patients involved in motor vehicle crashes, falls, industrial accidents, and acts of violence. It offers an active community education program in trauma prevention and safety. Cooper’s trauma center is the busiest in the Philadelphia region and its experts train medical professionals from every branch of the U.S. military.

Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper is a rehab center in South Jersey that offers a full continuum of care to address a patient’s substance abuse and co-occurring mental health conditions. Skilled staff ensure patient safety with a focus on each individual’s specific needs and the facility meets and exceeds local and national standards for addiction and behavioral health care practices.

Premier Training Center for the Military Cooper Trauma and Emergency medicine experts provide on-site training to elite special operations combat medics from the U.S. Military’s Special Operations Command and medical personnel with the U.S. Department of State Emergency Management Specialists. Cooper’s trauma center is the busiest in the Philadelphia region and was the first in the nation to provide advanced surgical trauma training to the U.S. Army’s elite Forward Resuscitation Surgical Team (FRST).
