Child Life Student Internship
Child life specialist internship is designed to build skills, knowledge, and confidence in pediatric care.
The Child Life Program at Cooper offers a 600-hour internship experience for students pursuing certification as a child life specialist.
The Internship provides exposed to a wide range of educational opportunities and experiences children and adolescents face in the healthcare setting. Interns observe and learn to implement child life interventions, engage patients in therapeutic activities, and gain valuable preparation for the Child Life Certification exam.
Program Details
- The Internship includes 600 supervised hours over approximately 16 weeks.
- One intern is accepted per semester to the program.
To apply, complete and the Internship Readiness Common Application and email it to ChildLifeInternship@CooperHealth.edu.
Cooper welcome applications from individuals who are not affiliated with a college or university, as long as they can obtain appropriate student liability insurance.
