Epic Training

Epic training is administered by the IT Epic training team, who delivers a custom curriculum and training schedule to new employees based on each person’s role at Cooper. Hands-on, in-person Epic training takes place at the CCBO (L3 Communications) building, which is accessible using the Cooper Shuttle from the Hospital at One Cooper Plaza. The training team may also assign online training modules for self-directed learning through the Cooper Learning Network (CLN). You will not be able to access Epic until you meet all Cooper requirements and have a Cooper network login and password.

  • Immediately BEFORE you reach the main access gates, turn left to access the “Visitor” parking area. The gate will open automatically.
  • Before exiting the building at the end of the day, you will need to request the gate “exit code” from the Security Guard in the main lobby. Enter the code on the key pad to open the gate.

Building Access

  1. Enter the 1st floor lobby through one of the green main entrance doors.
  2. Please be prepared to show your Cooper ID badge to the security guard located at the lobby desk.
  3. If you DO NOT have your Cooper ID, building security will consider you a visitor and you will be required to show another type of government ID
  4. Proceed to elevators behind the security desk to the 2nd floor.
  5. A Trainer will be in the 2nd floor lobby to direct you to your training room or check in with the receptionist to gain access.
  6. If you parked in the L3 visitor lot, please stop at the security desk in the lobby before exiting the building to retrieve the parking lot “exit code.” This code changes often, so it is recommended that you check daily to avoid having to reenter the building to get the code.
