At Cooper, our team of highly trained otolaryngologists and advanced practice nurses (APNs) are committed to providing you with outstanding and cutting-edge medical and surgical care in a caring and patient-centered environment.
The Division of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Cooper University Health Care provides both general and advanced medical and surgical care for diseases and conditions affecting the ears, nose, throat, and head and neck region. This includes care for children and adults.
Otolaryngologists are most commonly known as ear, nose and throat (ENT) doctors. Otolaryngology (ENT) is one of the few specialties that provides both medical and surgical care to patients. ENTs treat a wide variety of diseases and conditions that affect our hearing, balance, sinuses, speech, swallowing and breathing. ENTs also perform a wide range of surgeries such as tonsillectomy, placement of ear tubes, septoplasty, sinus surgery, facial plastic surgery, sleep apnea surgery, thyroidectomy, salivary gland removal and more complex head and neck surgeries, including surgery for head and neck cancer, such as laryngectomy and neck dissection. Our ENT team also provides the latest innovative, minimally invasive surgical techniques such as transoral robotic surgery (TORS), transoral laser microsurgery (TOLM) and endoscopic skull base surgery.
Services provided by ENTs may entail everything from extracting a foreign object from a child’s nose to removing head and neck masses and tumors, including those located at the base of the skull.
As part of South Jersey’s only tertiary-care, academic health system, Cooper’s otolaryngologists are committed to teaching the next generation of physicians and are conducting research designed to improve the care and treatment provided to ENT patients worldwide.
