The Cooper University Health Care Administrative Fellowship is a one-year program for graduate-level students who are passionate about working in a health system. The program is designed so that the fellow may gain exposure to both the ambulatory network and hospital system.
Administrative fellows at Cooper will have meaningful interactions with executive leadership across the health system. They will have the opportunity to select projects based on personal interest and organizational needs
Structure
The fellowship is a project-based program across Cooper University Health Care. Projects may range from one to three months in duration. During their time at Cooper, the fellow gets the opportunity to shadow with various departments as well as participate in networking opportunities.
Some key executive meetings the fellow may observe include:
- Monthly New Capital Management Committee
- Institute and Growth Strategy
- Strategic Facilities
- Space Committee
The fellow will have weekly one-on-one check-ins with preceptors to discuss the progress of the fellowship and if assistance is needed or if a project needs to be dropped.
During the first month of the fellowship, the fellow will have the opportunity to have one-on-one meetings with all of Cooper's executive leadership, including SVPs, VPs, and AVPs, to identify potential projects.
