Lenora’s Story: Osteoporosis and Fractures
Lenora D. was suffering from osteoporosis and suffered a fall. She couldn’t walk and the pain was unbearable. After being bounced around from hospital to rehab facility, she was treated at Cooper Bone and Joint Institute. Dr. Kenneth Graf and the Orthopaedic Trauma team surgically repaired undiagnosed pelvic fractures and got Lenora back to living her life. -
Chase’s Story: Multiple Sports-Related Concussions
Chase F., current Rutgers student, suffered 5 concussions while playing two sports in high school. Dr. Gealt and the team at Cooper Bone and Joint Institute treated Chase’s concussions. Together they made the hard decision for Chase to stop playing sports for his senior year of high school. -
Reed’s Story: Rowing After Knee Replacement
Reed K. rows on the Schuylkill River every morning at 5 a.m. Dr. Larry Miller – who rows with him! – performed knee replacement surgery when the pain in Reed’s knee kept him off the water. Dr. Miller helped Reed get back to doing what he loves. -
Mary’s Story: Keep on Running
Mary K. is a 60 year old master runner and has been running for years. Dr. Gealt and the Cooper Bone and Joint team manage Mary’s various injuries throughout the year that come with the wear and tear of daily running. Dr. Gealt helps keep Mary moving. -
Rebecca’s Story: Multiple ACL Surgeries
Rebecca W. is a collegiate athlete who suffered from multiple knee injuries. Dr. Mark Pollard surgically repaired her knee numerous times. Rebecca is back playing sports and currently holds the scoring record for lacrosse at Rowan University.
