What is the Sunshine Award?
Here at Cooper University Health Care, the Sunshine Award is given to Critical Care Techs, Nurse Associates, and/or Companions who demonstrate excellent patient and family centered care while carrying out Cooper University Health Care’s mission: To serve, to heal, to educate.
Critical Care Techs, Nurse Associates, and Companions play an important role in the health care team. Their hard work is invaluable to members of the health care team and does not go unnoticed.
Sunshine Award Criteria
- Job performance meets and exceeds the mission and vision of Cooper University Health Care.
- Takes pride in their job while performing high quality care.
- Demonstrates excellent teamwork with all members of the health care team.
- Goes above and beyond for patients and their families, ensuring that they are receiving a excellent patient experience.
How to Nominate
Patients, families, visitors or co-worker may nominate a Critical Care Tech, Nurse Associate or Companion by completing the Sunshine Award Nomination form and giving it to the Unit Leadership. One nominee will be picked quarterly to receive this award.
